Executive Secretary's Profile
Vencot Dyer was raised in the parish of St. Elizabeth on the beautiful island of Jamaica, where his educational pursuit led him to Munro College. He transitioned from there to Northern Caribbean University (NCU) from which he graduated at the top of his graduating class with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion and Theology and a Minor in Fine Arts. He, subsequently, commenced his calling and passion at the West Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in 2007, where he has been pastoring for over nineteen years. His educational journey continued however, as he pursued and completed a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology at the Inter-America Theological Seminary (IATS) in 2024.
Pastor Dyer was baptized at the Bull Savannah Seventh-day Adventist Church on September 03, 1994, and went on to serve his local church as Deacon, Personal Ministries Secretary, Pathfinder Director, Interest Coordinator, Stewardship Leader, among other responsibilities. He was subsequently ordained as a deacon at the Northern Caribbean University Church in 2004, and as an Elder of in 2005. He has served the West Jamaica Conference as District Pastor, Ministerial Fraternity Secretary, Ministerial Fraternity Treasurer, Ministerial Fraternity President, Ministerial Secretary, and Stewardship and Trust Services Director. Currently, he serves as the Executive Secretary of the West Jamaica Conference, a Justice of the Peace for the Island of Jamaica, a volunteer chaplain of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, and a Problem Management Plus Supervisor with the Ministry of Health. He loves God supremely, loves people compassionately, and is humbled to be considered a servant of the Church. He is married to the beautiful Kim Dyer from the community of Sheffield in Westmoreland, and together they parent one son, Jadon, who is the joy of their hearts.
